Dr. Chng received her undergraduate degree in history & biochemistry/molecular biology and her masters degree in public health from Brown University. She continued to receive her medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and graduated in 2001. Dr. Chng is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

She completed her residency at Harvard University-Massachusetts General Hospital & Brigham Women's Hospital. Her medical interests include airway management & injury prevention. Dr. Chng joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005.

Dr. Chng speaks Mandarin and her personal interests include, science fiction, SCUBA, Bicycling, Chinese cooking and being outdoors.
