Hello! Welcome to my home page
I was born and raised in the Bay Area and grew up in the Kaiser Redwood City system. Even as a child and young adult, I appreciated the unified medical care that I received and the ease of access. As a physician in the Kaiser system, I enjoy the camaraderie, the dedication to patient care, and the teamwork between different specialties. I feel lucky to work with such caring and hard-working people!
I left beautiful California to study Philosophy at Harvard University. During those four years, I was a member of the Varsity Swim and Crew teams. I was also a member of several volunteer and tutoring groups. I always had a passion for science and community service, and I felt becoming a doctor would be a perfect fit for me. During college, I studied rainforest ecology for 4 months in Borneo, and I also spent 4 months traveling around British Columbia and Alberta writing for a travel guide. I took one year off after college to teach Algebra and Geometry at a high school in Monterey, California.
I returned to the East Coast to attend medical school at Columbia University in New York. I had a wonderful time exploring the city, making wonderful friends, and learning medicine. I developed a special interest in oncology, specifically the radiation therapy component of cancer treatment. I found the patient care extremely rewarding, and I enjoyed the challenge of working with new technology.
I returned to the Bay Area to do a one-year internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland. Then I continued on to 4 years of residency training in Radiation Oncology at Stanford University Medical Center. I had many incredible mentors and made many great friends. After graduating, I joined Kaiser Hayward, and I’m looking forward to working with all the physicians and staff!
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, going to museums, gardening, exercising, and traveling. I’ve recently traveled to Europe, India, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Mexico. I’ve studied French and also speak a little Cantonese and Spanish.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
