Welcome to Physical Therapy! I would like to share some information about myself.

I grew up locally in Portola Valley then attended the University of California at Berkeley for my undergraduate studies and was a member of the women’s soccer team. Continuing my education in the Bay Area, I completed a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland and became board certified to practice physical therapy in 1995.

In 1995, I joined Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara and worked in the outpatient and inpatient departments for 7 years. After working in a community practice physical therapy clinic for 5 years, I returned to Kaiser in 2007. Treating orthopedic and sports injuries has become my specialty over the years, with a particular interest in knee, hip and low back pathology and cycling related injuries. I am active in taking continuing education courses to improve my skills and am member of the Sports section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

I have enjoyed being physically active all my life and realize that proper exercise and correct posture are crucial factors in keeping our bodies healthy. Since no two bodies are the same, as your physical therapist I will work with you to develop an individual exercise program to achieve the best functional outcome possible.

Your health and fitness are important to me and I look forward to working with you to address your physical therapy needs.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
