Welcome To My Home Page

Joined Kaiser Permanente Medical Group: 2009

A native San Franciscan, I attended Stanford University as an undergraduate, and then obtained A Master's degree in Biology from UCSB. Medical school was at UC Irvine and internship at USC-LA County hospital.

I completed my residency in Radiation Oncology at UCSF and joined the faculty. My interest was in patients with CNS, Pediatric and Soft Tissue tumors. I recently retired from UCSF after a long career as Professor and Chair. I am currently a Professor Emeritus At UCSF.

I joined Kaiser in 2009 as they completed their new Cancer Treatment Center in South San Francisco. I enjoy developing new and growing programs. With state of the art equipment, staff, and physicians dedicated to 21st Century cancer care, the new facility will certainly be successful in delivering excellent care to KP patients.

In my free time, I enjoy children and grandchildren, blended with baseball, golf, exercise, and music.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
