Welcome to my home page. I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself and to provide you with health information. Please use the links to the left to find out more about kidney disease and your condition.

My Background

I obtained my medical degree from the UC San Francisco School of Medicine. I completed my internship and residency at Emory University Hospital as well as both Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Decatur, GA and San Francisco, CA. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialties of Nephrology and Internal Medicine. While I enjoy all aspects of Nephrology, I have special interests in kidney disease and hypertension.

Philosophy of Care

I enjoy caring for patients with kidney problems, as treatment options are available and my goal is to keep you as well as possible. I believe that by learning about your blood pressure, your medications and the meaning of your lab results, we can work together as a team, this will assure the best decisions and give us the best chance for a successful outcome.

When I Am Not at Work...

I enjoy reading spy novels and science books, hiking and spending time with my children.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
