My Practice Philosophy

I am so excited to beginning my career in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Santa Clara. I enjoy Kaiser’s focus on health living and preventative medicine. My interest in caring for women originates from the love and respect I have for my own mother. I firmly believe that a woman is the heart of her family and community, and in caring for women, I am enabling them to go out and care for others!

About Me

I am a Bay Area native. I was born in Oakland and raised a few miles East in Orinda. I headed to the Midwest for college, where I attended the University of Notre Dame. While there, I translated my special interest in women’s health into a summer internship organizing outreach for pregnant women struggling with substance abuse at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. I graduated from Notre Dame in May of 2005. I also completed research at UCSF regarding risk factors for cerebral palsy and perinatal stroke, which resulted in publication.

After completing my Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Studies and Public Service, I moved to Chicago where I graduated from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in May of 2009. While not enjoying the many museums, athletic events and festivals that Chicago has to offer, I devoted my time to mentoring teen girls and serving my community with Catholic Charities. I am currently doing my residency at Kaiser Santa Clara.

My Interests

In my free time I enjoy hiking, adventure travel (my last two trips took me to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro and on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu!), cooking with my mom (and then eating our efforts), and cheering on my beloved Irish. Some people are surprised to learn that I have three wonderful brothers, including a twin brother. As twin ‘b’ I gave my mother a bit of trouble before the doctors pulled me out!

I want to be certain all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your visit, you may leave me a message at the above telephone number. Either, I, or my medical assistant, will return your call.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
