My Biography
I knew a friend who worked at San Francisco Medical Center, and I liked the idea of working in a group practice, within a comprehensive health care system. That’s why I came to work at Kaiser Permanente. Patients enjoy easy access to their providers here, due in part to the advent of our online secure messaging feature. Patients can often get appointments right away.
Our department serves as the immunohistory regional service for northern California. Because we see a variety of interesting and challenging cases here, we are an excellent training ground for young pathologists. I follow research in hematopathology (disorders of the blood and bone marrow) and plan, at some point in the future, to conduct my own research in this subspecialty.
Away from the medical center, I enjoy watching all kinds of movies and I like to go hiking. I maintain a healthy balance in my life by taking time to relax, eating healthy food, and striving to get sufficient sleep!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
