Hello and welcome to my Kaiser Permanente homepage!

I believe great care is built from the collaboration between a provider and a patient, and that the passion and effort extended by the patient is fundamental in achieving optimal health and well-being.

About Me

I am a California native and have spent my lifetime in the greater Bay Area. I have a passion to help people and be in the field of Psychology. I received my BS in Psychology with a biology emphasis from UC Davis and my MS and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology.

My breadth and depth of clinical experience has ranged from working with young children to older adults, in addition, to a variety of culturally diverse patient populations. I developed an interest in working with the geriatric population early on in my graduate career. My pre-doctoral internship was based at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System with a geropsychology emphasis in which I worked directly with male and female veterans with chronic medical and mental health conditions.

During my postdoctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente – Redwood City in 2008, I continued to focus on working with the adult and older adult populations. While I was completing my postdoctoral fellowship, I became licensed by the California Board of Psychology (PSY 22904). As a full-time staff psychologist, I will continue to pursue my professional interests in working with patients struggling with grief/bereavement, behavioral medicine, mood/anxiety, and eating disorders.

My Interests

My personal interests include spending time with family, watching crime shows, winter sports, spending time in the outdoors, cooking and eating various cultural foods. Aside from speaking English, I grew up speaking Mandarin Chinese. Additionally, I have an interest in learning Asian languages.

I hope you found this information helpful. I want to be sure that all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during our session together, you may email me by clicking on the “E-mail your doctor” link above.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
