Thanks for visiting my homepage!

Here's a little bit about myself and why I chose to be an emergency physician at Kaiser Permanente.

I call Northern California home, although I've spent quite a few years in Chicago and New York. I think the Bay Area boasts some of the most spirited and interesting people anywhere, which is why I chose to live and work in the East Bay.

I am delighted to have the opportunity to keep my community healthy, and working at Kaiser Permanente definitely helps me reach that goal. Kaiser Permanente's Electronic records, availability of specialist consults, and reliable outpatient follow up are invaluable resources for an emergency physician. When such a comprehensive system works well, both patients and physicians benefit.

An emergency department visit can be stressful, and the emergency physician serves as an avid patient advocate in times of dire need. This is ultimately why I practice emergency medicine. I am always looking for ways to improve our healthcare delivery, so do not be shy about sharing your thoughts next time you visit me in the emergency department.

My Credentials

Medical school Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, IL
Residency Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY
Board certification Emergency Medicine, American Board of Emergency Medicine

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
