About Me
I joined Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in 2005 after 10 years of private practice. I believe that was the single best professional decision I had made. I believe in the comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care at Kaiser Permanente. I enjoy working with my colleagues at Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center. My philosophy of health care is to respect each patient I encountered and treat others as I would like to be treated.
My Background
I obtained my medical degree from the University of California in Davis, California. I then completed residencies at Mount Zion Medical Center of UCSF at San Francisco, University of California at San Francisco, and Stanford University Medical Center at Stanford. I am board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in the specialty of Internal Medicine and with the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in the specialty of Nuclear Medicine. I am interested in cardiovascular disease in general, and PET/CT imaging. When I am not working, I like reading history and science.
My Recommendations
I encourage every one to walk at least 20 minutes daily to keep your heart and lungs healthy. Avoid fatty food, and smile!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
