About Me

I am excited to join the Kaiser Oakland Orthopedic group as a board certified internist and sports medicine provider. While completing my internal medicine training, I discovered that I truly enjoy thinking about wellness and preventative health. I believe that promoting an active lifestyle is one of the best ways to both treat and avoid many of the problems that are routinely seen in the hospital and primary care office. However, as activity increases, so does the capacity for acute and overuse injuries. Completing a fellowship in sports medicine allows me to specialize in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions. I enjoy the ability to see a wide range of patients and helping those at all levels, from the high school athlete to the active senior, stay active. By forming an alliance, my goal is to work together to return you to your desired work, sport or activity and to prevent future injury.

I grew up receiving healthcare from Kaiser in Cleveland, OH, and am excited to return to the Kaiser family as a physician. I feel privileged to work in an environment that will allow me to focus on providing excellent clinical care with the technology and resources to be both effective and efficient. As recent transplants from the east coast to the Bay Area, my husband and I are excited to be a part of this vibrant community. The year-round opportunity to run, bike and hike without the interruption of a snowy winter is a dream come true!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
