Greetings! Welcome to my web page!

About Me

I grew up in Vacaville, a town that sits just on the western edge of the Central Valley about 50 miles northwest of Stockton. I spent my summers as a child working the harvest in the orchards just outside of town. In the more than four decades that have elapsed since my family arrived here, this region has witnessed dramatic growth and almost constant change. The little town where I grew up has been replaced by a city where the orchards that once surrounded my childhood home are gone, developed long ago to accommodate an almost explosive population growth.

For all that has changed, the Valley for me maintains its constant beauty and I’ve never been tempted to live anywhere else. When it was time to go to college, I selected the University of California at Davis in part because it was only thirty miles from where I went to Kindergarten, and later also trained there to become a doctor. When I applied for medical school I remember being interviewed by a member of the faculty who said that mission of UC Davis was to serve to train professionals who would in turn serve the community. I‘ve never forgotten that.

I have also witnessed first had Kaiser’s growth and progress over decades. My family enrolled in the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and I became a member in 1959. I am proud to now provide services and care as a part of the organization that provided care for me.

Personally, my interests include playing tennis, cycling and gardening.

My Philosophy of Care

The patient is my charge during surgery and my role is to watch over, protect and care for them when they cannot care for themselves. Providing comfort is my goal; pain and suffering is my enemy.

Our entire Anesthesiology Department and I want to be certain that all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your pre-operative office visit, please call (209) 476-3633.

Thank you again for viewing my web page!
