Welcome to my Home Page!

Welcome to our Speech Therapy department! I’d love to share a little bit about myself, so that we can get to know one another. I’m a native Californian, born and raised in the East Bay. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1990. I then earned my Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Audiology in 1992. I then began my clinical fellowship year, and completed that and became a licensed Speech Pathologist in 1993.

I have worked in many rehabilitation settings. Prior to coming to Kaiser I worked in the acute care and intensive inpatient rehab hospitals at Stanford/UCSF, and in the skilled nursing facilities with Vencor hospitals. I have also supervised Clinical fellowship interns.

I joined Kaiser in 1999 working in home health care and acute care. I now primarily work in the outpatient speech therapy clinic, and cover the hospitals on the occasional shift. I am exceptionally pleased to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team. I love working in a collaborative environment, and enjoy working with all of your providers so that we can provide the highest quality of care to you. I have a special interest in working with patients that have neurological conditions, and swallowing problems. I also aspire to be an advocate for those patients and their families dealing with the devastating effects of dementia.

I am married, and for fun I enjoy visiting with our 7 children, community volunteering and gardening. I hope I can be of help to you as you go through your Speech Therapy experience!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
