About Me
Education: The Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN 2000
Board certification: 2001
Joined Kaiser in: 2001
Other languages: French, some Spanish
I was raised in San Francisco, CA. I received a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from Columbia University in New York, NY, and a master’s degree in French from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT. I later received my degree in Physical Therapy from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and most recently completed the Kaiser Hayward Post-Professional Clinical Mentorship in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
I joined Kaiser in 2001 and have been a member of the Occupational Health Department since 2003. I enjoy treating patients of a variety of orthopedic diagnoses. What I especially like about being a Physical Therapist is that I am able to treat my patients over several sessions and get to know them. As I become more familiar with my patients, I feel I can better address their individual needs, to empower them with the proper exercises and knowledge in self-management they need to be able to move on. I also have a special interest in work station ergonomics.
Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist, I taught high school level French for four years. In my leisure time I enjoy surfing, reading, rock climbing, mountain biking, salsa and belly dancing.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
