My Biography

I have been an optometrist with Kaiser Permanente since February of 1988. In addition to general optometry with therapeutics and contact lenses, I participate in laser refractive surgery co-management. Please let me know if you have any questions about laser surgery.

I graduated from University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. I obtained my Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry and completed my advanced training in treatment and management of ocular disease at University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. I am certified for co-management of laser refractive surgery from Pacific University.

Originally from Southern California, I have lived in the Bay Area since 1984. In my spare time, I enjoy reading business and optometry journals, travel, and going to the opera.

To better serve you, I would like to make sure that all of your questions concerning your are addressed. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
