Welcome to my Internet Home Page.

Welcome. I hope through this home page, you can learn more about me and also obtain useful information on occupational medicine.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Fiji Islands. I obtained my medical degree from the University of Mysore Government Medical College, Mysore, India. I then finished an internship at Fiji School of Medicine, Suva, Fiji. I completed my residency in family medicine in St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, Sioux City, IA. I have over 20 years of experience in practicing medicine in the Fiji Islands. After I moved to Sioux City, I worked for Mercy Health Services concentrated on Family Practice and Occupational Medicine. Then, I worked for Cargill Goods and National Beef Products at Dodge City, KS as Medical Director for 3 years before joining Kaiser Permanente Stockton.

I have received several awards. One of them was in 1963, I was the Best All Around Graduate of the Year at Fiji School of Medicine. I received the Commonwealth Scholarship to pursue my medical degree in India from 1970 – 1972.

My clinic interests include: spine care, occupational health and pediatrics care. My personal interests include: traveling, soccer and gardening. As you can tell, my native language is Hindi and Fijian, but I am also fluent in English.

Our Department

The Kaiser Permanente Occupational Health Department strives to be the best in it's approach to the injured workers' needs. The department is well organized and comprehensive in all aspects of injury care including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, consultations, and reporting requirements. All services are arranged in a smooth and efficient manner.

The clinic also provides preventive service such as pre-placement exams, Class A&B Commercial Driver's License Physicals, medical surveillance programs, respirator physicals, work-site ergonomic assessments, etc.

My Philosophy of Care

I believe patients should receive the best care in order to facilitate a rapid recovery.

Select a personal physician - An important part of your health care experience at Kaiser Permanente includes building a relationship with your personal physician. If you haven't already selected one or want to change, click here to choose a personal physician for yourself or for a family member.
