My Practice Philosophy
I believe that women’s health is an issue that is quite different than any other type of health concern. Women’s lives change dramatically throughout the years and especially with pregnancy. Most people have only their own health to be concerned with whereas women have two lives to be concerned with when they are pregnant. As a doctor, it is my goal to help my patients navigate through both wonderful and difficult situations by providing them with information and compassion. I would like to be able to apply the experience and knowledge that I have gained from my academic, clinical and personal experiences while continuing to learn from my colleagues, my patients and my loved ones on how to be a respected doctor and person.
About Me
I am so excited to return to the Bay Area after being away for over a decade. I love California and especially the diversity that the Bay Area has to offer. I was born in Vietnam, but moved to the East Bay when I was two years old. Although I am unable to read or write in Vietnamese, my parents made sure that I continued to speak Vietnamese and did not lose that part of my heritage. I attended the University of California San Diego for college and stayed in San Diego to work at a women’s health clinic and a biotechnology firm. I then moved to Chicago and received my medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in 2007. After medical school, I spent one year training in Internal Medicine in Michigan, where I met my future husband. I am so happy to back in California, doing my residency at my top choice and in the field that I love most.
My Interests
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I traveling and discovering new places, foods, wines, cultures, anything new. I really enjoy trying new cuisines and I’m trying to learn how to cook. I am always looking for new recipes and welcome any old family recipes.
I want to be certain all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your visit, you may leave me a message at the above telephone number. Either, I, or my medical assistant, will return your call.
