My practice philosophy is simple, I believe in providing high quality care to all my critically ill patients. I would encourage my patients and their families to make an informed decision regarding options encountered during patient care.

I was born and raised in India. I graduated from Rajah Muthiah Medical College & Hospital in 2000. I relocated to the United States and attended Stanford University; I completed a Masters in Epidemiology in 2003. I went to the University of California, San Francisco for my internship and transferred to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara for my residency training from 2003 to 2005. I returned to Stanford to complete my fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care. I received board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005 and am currently eligible for certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care.

I hold a medical interest in lung transplant immunology and management. On a personal note, I enjoy swimming and playing tennis when ever I get the opportunity. I am bi-lingual in English and Tamil.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
