Welcome to my web page. I hope it will help you get to know me better and understand my role in taking care of you or your loved one.

I attended medical school in India. After finishing medical school I came to the United States for further training. I started a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Bridgeport Conneticutt. I soon realized I was more interested in adult medicine and I moved to Stockton to finish a residency in Internal Medicine. Shortly after graduating I joined the Department of Hospital Medicine at Hayward.

Hospital based specialists are physicians who take care of hospitalized patients only. Our team is present in the hospital 24/7. We work different shifts and as a team are able to provide seamless care to the patient throughout their hospital stay. We also have systems to communicate vital information to the patient's primary care physician.

I also participate in Hospital Administration and am the Assistant Physician-in-Chief for the Hospital Based Specilaists and Resource Management. I co-chair the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for our Medical Center.

When I'm not working I enjoy cooking, watching movies and interfering in my childrens' school projects.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
