Welcome to my practice! Being a hospitalist, I am thankful I can make a difference in people's lives. Apart from taking care of acute issues when patients are hospitalized, I have the opportunity to discuss with them lifestyle changes and preventative medicine.

Background

I obtained my medical degree from Government Medical College. I then completed internships at Stanford University and Maricopa Medical Center and a residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Santa Clara. Because I have trained in multiple health care settings, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of cases, which makes me feel very comfortable as a hospitalist. It is very rewarding to take care of a sick patient and help them get well and return home to their families.

My medical interests are in preventative medicine and education of patients. As a hospitalist, I feel I have the ability to educate not only the patient, but also their families.

I enjoy spending every free moment with my husband and two young children. I love reading books and solving puzzles with my two-year-old twins. I also love spending time outdoors, and enjoy taking my children to the park.

Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is to educate patients about their medical conditions and involve them in developing a plan of care that they can follow.

My Credentials

Medical school Government Medical College, Gulbarga, India
Internship MaricopaMedical Center, Phoenix, AZ
Internship Stanford University, Stanford, CA
Residency Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Santa Clara, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
