Hello, my name is Tracy Nelson. I was born and raised in New Hampshire until our family moved to California when I was a teenager. I have lived in the greater Sacramento area since that time. I graduated from Sacramento State University in 1996 with a Masters in Counselor Education, with an emphasis on Marriage & Family Therapy.

I am licensed by the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners in Marriage and Family Therapy, license number MFC 40435.

I have worked with children and families for many years, including work in the foster care system and working with family and children who have been the victims of abuse. I have worked in adult psychiatry for the last 5 years and do crisis assessment within the department.

I joined the Permanente Medical Group in October 2002 and work as an adult therapist and in Psychiatry Triage.

My hobbies/interests: Reading and spending time with my family.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
