About Me

I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Long Beach State University in 1992. I have worked for several county mental health departments, schools and California State parole, until joining Kaiser in 2006. I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in Social Work.

My background is in the area of Mental Health specializing in Mood disorders, Anxiety/Panic, Personality Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Crisis Intervention. I serve as a Crisis Clinician for The Department of Psychiatry.

The Crisis Team in the Department of Psychiatry provides treatment and intervention for psychological emergencies. Our clinicians work on a multi-disciplinary team that is made up of MDs, Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Marriage Family Therapists. We provide treatment and intervention at Sacramento, Morse Avenue and Roseville Parkway Out-Patient Clinics, the Roseville and Sacramento Emergency Departments and the Roseville and Sacramento in-patient medicine units. I have eighteen years of experience providing crisis intervention, client assessment and counseling for adults and minors.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
