This web page is intended to provide some information about me, together with some information about Diagnostic Imaging services, and to provide resources that can hopefully address questions you may have about upcoming tests or procedures.
I grew up in Long Island and completed my undergraduate education at Cornell University with a major in Biology. I received my MD degree from Emory University and completed an internship in Transitional Medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. I trained in Diagnostic Radiology and completed a Body Imaging fellowship at University of Southern California. Having missed the Bay area during my time in Los Angeles, I returned to do a Musculoskeletal Fellowship at University of California, San Francisco.
Upon finishing my Musculoskeletal Fellowship, I began working at Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to teamwork and excellence makes it an enjoyable and rewarding place to work.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my wife. I enjoy playing soccer and tennis, reading, and traveling.
Diagnostic radiology is a diverse field, encompassing interpretation of plain films, barium studies, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and mammography, and including a wide range of interventional procedures from biopsies, drainage procedures, and angiography, to complex therapeutic procedures. If you would like to find out more about Radiology, the panel on the left side of this page contains links to general information about many of the diagnostic tests and procedures we do in our department. At the bottom of the "Learn More About Radiology" page there is a link to the patient information web site of the Radiological Society of North America.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
