Welcome to My Home Page!
I’ve been with Redwood City Kaiser Permanente since 1995, having completed a fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco in 1993. Prior to that, I attended Rush Medical College, and then completed my residency at Highland Hospital, in Oakland, California, in 1990. I’m currently board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases.
Although some of my practice involves invasive procedures to diagnose pulmonary disease, I think you’ll find I’m much more interested in trying to prevent these diseases. In fact, by far the best feature of working for Kaiser Permanente is the tremendous access to resources available to prevent disease!
My special interest is in pulmonary physiology, and I’m always looking for ways to apply computerized artificial intelligence to pulmonary medicine.
When not in the hospital, you can often find me scuba diving somewhere under the water in Monterey Bay.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
