Welcome to my home page!
Welcome to my home page! As a physician in the Kaiser Permanente organization, I am thrilled to be part of a healthcare system that fosters teamwork between physician specialists in order to offer exceptional medical care.
I am a California native. Born at Stanford University, I was raised in the East Bay. After medical school, I trained in General Surgery, Diagnostic Radiology, and also completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. After, fellowship, family ties and the physical beauty of the Bay Area called me home.
Interventional radiology is a relatively new and rapidly evolving subspecialty of radiology. It is a field of medicine based partly in radiology and partly in surgery. By using imaging modalities such as ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and CT, I can perform many types of procedures through tiny skin incisions; procedures that traditionally required a much more invasive approach. An interventional radiologist often uses existing pathways in the body (arteries, veins, bile ducts etc.) to get to the site of treatment. This type of approach usually means faster recovery time and less discomfort than more invasive methods of treatment.
Outside of the hospital, I enjoy playing with my family, traveling, and snow skiing.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
