My Practice Philosophy

The Kaiser philosophy of patient education and disease prevention is one that truly resonates with me. I identify myself as a teacher, whether with chemistry students, medical students, patients or peers; I see every patient interaction as a perfect opportunity to help women understand themselves and their bodies a little better!

About Me

I was born in Truckee, California and raised in the Lake Tahoe area. I earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Nevada Reno and am the first in my family to graduate from college. Before medical school, I worked as a chemistry professor at my local community college. A perpetual student, I returned to the University of Nevada where I earned my MD as well as the graduate award for academic excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I graduated from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2009. I am a junior fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and have been an active member since medical school. I am so excited to be working as a resident physician at Kaiser Santa Clara.

My Interests

I enjoy yoga, cycling and trail running. I also like to relax by reading, cooking and laughing with my friends and family. Something not many people know about me is that I was the drummer in the rock band Livor Mortis in medical school!

I want to be certain all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your visit, you may leave me a message at the above telephone number. Either, I, or my medical assistant, will return your call.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
