My Backgound

I went to undergraduate school at the University of California, San Diego, where I got my B.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. I then went to pharmacy school at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. I completed a general practice residency here, at Kaiser Santa Clara. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008.

Practice Philosophy

I love being a pharmacist. I am a big believer of empowering the patient with knowledge that they can use to help them understand the progression or regression of their disease. People often fear the unknown, and I hope that the knowledge I can bestow on my patients will help dissipate or decrease that fear.

My Interests

I try my best to keep up to date with the most recent standards of care by attending classes/seminars and by reading journals I have subscribed to. I plan on taking the Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist Exam within the next 1 to 2 years. I also enjoy giving back to the community professionally or in any other way I can. During my leisure I enjoy running, reading, indoor rock climbing, and traveling.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
