Welcome to my home page. I’m Tim Hesgard, a licensed Marriage and Family therapist practicing here in Vacaville. My job description is split between both individual/family therapy with teens and children as well as running the Teen Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This is a program for teens and families who are going through extreme crises (such as feeling suicidal or homicidal) and need the additional support. The IOP program includes weekly teen groups as well as multifamily groups, individual therapy, and family therapy.

Now a little bit about me. I was born in Washington but lived in several states and countries. I attended college and grad school at Walla Walla University where I obtained my Bachelors degree and Masters Degree in psychology. While there, I met my wife and we moved to California. I’ve been living in California since 2002 have been doing therapy with kids and families since 2000.

I love sports of all kinds, including basketball, volleyball, and softball. One of my favorite activities is going camping on the lake and spending time waterskiing. For me, nothing is quite as enjoyable as being outdoors, interacting with others, and just getting away from the typical fast-paced lifestyle.
