My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a general surgeon. I operate on many different areas of the body. I decided to do this because I enjoy the complexity of treating many different areas of the body and the disease that affects them.

My Practice Philosophy

I enjoy taking time with my patients and teaching them to care for themselves. I value getting to know my patients and their personalities.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005, after 7 years in private practice. I've come to appreciate the wide variety in the patient population that I serve. I enjoy working in a large group of surgeons with a wide variety of expertise in different areas. I value being able to practice medicine the way I want.

On a Personal Note

I'm from a family of ten children. I've lived in California all my life. I have three children and enjoy the time I get to spend in their activities. I enjoy hiking, trekking, running and coaching.
