I was born and raised in a suburb of Buffalo, NY, and grew up with Niagara Falls practically in my back yard. My interest in physical therapy began when I was treated in physical therapy for a sports injury in high school. My interest continued to grow through volunteering as an aide at a local physical therapy office. After deciding that physical therapy was the profession for me, I attended Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, where I received my masters degree in physical therapy. I began my physical therapy career at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA working on the neurologic team which is when my love of neurology was born. Knowing that I wanted to specialize in neurology, I attended a neurologic physical therapy residency program through Kaiser Permanente Redwood City. Through this program I was able to refine my neurologic examination, assessment, and treatment skills. After the program’s completion, I transferred to Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara where I now work as a Senior Physical Therapist treating patients with both orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses. I also am interested in balance and vestibular therapy and I teach the Falls Class.

Outside of physical therapy my interests are vast including skiing, horseback riding, tennis, swimming, playing piano, listening to music, reading, watching the NHL, and watching the latest and greatest television comedies and dramas. I am loving living on the west coast but I do miss the Buffalo winters and my favorite sports team, the Buffalo Sabres.

My philosophy in rehabilitation is to partner with each of my clients to provide them with education, exercise, and movement training in order to help restore their function and return to the activities they love to the best of their ability. I also strongly emphasize that my clients must take the responsibility to become well using the things they learn from me as well as their own intuition to have the most efficient and complete outcome from their injury or disability. There may be limitations to overall recovery, but each person has the opportunity to be the best they can be.

I want to make certain all of your physical therapy concerns are addressed. If you forgot to ask a question during a visit, you may email me by clicking on the link for E-mail Your Doctor or leave me a message on my direct line at (408) 851-1408. If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
