About Me

I received my undergraduate education at UC Irvine (cum laude). I graduated with honors from UC Berkeley, School of Optometry in 1995. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1997. Having been in practice for many years, I have extensive experience in all aspects of eye care. I provide general and contact lens exams, and co-management for LASIK and other refractive corrective surgeries.

I am a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist; trained to identify eye diseases and to prescribe drugs to treat certain eye conditions, such as red eyes, itchy eyes, inflammations, allergies and infections.

In addition to seeing patients for general exams, my practice emphasizes in pediatrics; examining and managing children with eyeturns, lazy eyes, and children with high prescriptions. I utilize glasses, contact lenses, eye patchings, and coordinates with surgeons to ensure that the child’s eyes develop to their fullest capability.

I am a member of The American Optometric Association, The California Optometric Association, and The Santa Clara County Optometric Society. I enjoy spending time with my three children. I love to solve Sudoku puzzles, read, travel and to go on family camping trips.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
