How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

I did an internship at Kaiser Permanente’s Santa Clara facility and loved the people with whom I worked. I enjoyed the camaraderie and the ability to advance. Within Kaiser’s well-integrated care model, I am allowed to practice autonomously and I am able to use a variety of techniques and modalities to enhance my patients’ healing experience. I am particularly interested in occupational health and repetitive strain injuries (RSIs).

In my spare time I like photography, swimming, martial arts, playing and recording the piano, playing guitar, cello, and violin. I enjoy playing music with my kids (who play violin, clarinet, and saxophone) and my wife (who plays guitar)! I also love cycling. I embark on motorcycling adventures, study Buddhism, and read books about optimal health. Other books on my nightstand include Healthy at 100, and Holy Man. My wife is from Provence, so my traveling experiences have been to various places in France. One favorite area is Cassis, on the Mediterranean Coast.

I believe we need to invest the time to take genuine care of ourselves. Taking moments in our day to consciously breathe and slow down will bring greater awareness of how our thoughts are connected to our bodies’ physical sensations. I THRIVE through a regular yoga practice and by living as much in harmony with our natural environment as possible. I am an advocate for eco-friendly choices. I also make my own organic granola.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
