About Me

I received my MA degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University and am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I spent two and a half years in post-graduate study at the Women’s Therapy Center in El Cerrito, CA specializing in issues of trauma and depression in women. For the past several years, I have worked in perinatal substance abuse treatment in Alameda Co. and joined Kaiser in the Sacramento area in the summer of 2004. My experience working with women and families dealing with the effects of substance use lends special appreciation for the Early Start program and the opportunity to help women make changes prior to the birth of their child. I know that women want to have healthy and happy pregnancies and I feel privileged to work together through the struggles that can arise in the prenatal and postpartum period.

When I am not working I especially enjoy playing at outdoor activities which are so accessible in beautiful Northern California
