My Biography

I grew up in Brooklyn with blue collar, hard-working parents who devoted their lives to their children. I credit them with the discipline, caring and compassionate nature I believe I extend to others. When I was finishing my medical training, the HIV epidemic was just starting. I was greatly affected by witnessing young, talented people often die with in months and felt I wanted to help them anyway I could.

KP has offered me a professional environment to practice medicine with a high quality of care and a friendly group of colleagues. Generally, I believe in “tried and true”, “evidence-based medicine”. I am not an advocate of unproven treatment regimens such as reike, acupuncture and chiropractors. Get a good massage, they are far more therapeutic and worth your money. Most of all, I believe the fountain of youth lies in body maintenance. Exercise, don’t overindulge, and by all means don’t smoke, use condoms, and wear seatbelts.

As for hobbies, I enjoy gardening, especially edible fruits and vegetables, taking culinary classes and baking. Since I enjoy eating it all too, I do exercise regularly.
