My Biography

Kaiser Permanente’s integrated model is a system that may represent future trends in national health care delivery. Here, we offer the equivalent of a one-stop shop, where patients can attend to all of their needs in one place. We even have several on-site pharmacies where patents may fill or collect their prescriptions.

As a psychotherapist, I feel honored to have patients share the deep, private, troubled aspects of their lives with me. It is a true privilege and one that I take with the utmost seriousness. Although I bring a broad background to the Psychiatry department, my specialties are in cognitive behavioral therapy and Gestalt work. I enjoy working with issues such as depression, relationships, work-related stress, and creativity blocks.

I THRIVE through regular exercise, eating right, hiking, and spending time with people who have positive outlooks on life. For fun, I love singing, attending concerts, traveling, and visiting the beach, discussing politics and spirituality, and engaging in engrossing conversations.

Undergraduate Education: BA in Music and Psychology, Hampshire College
Graduate Education: MSW, Smith College School for Social Work
Residency Program: Bronx Municipal Hospital, Inpatient Psychiatry; Ware Family Services, Outpatient Clinic
Specialties or Board Certifications: Gestalt Therapy Institute of the Berkshires
Other KP Facilities: South San Francisco (1999-2001)
Began Practice: 1994
Joined Kaiser Permanente: 1999

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
