My Practice Philosophy

My practice philosophy is to establish and maintain an ongoing dialogue with my patients, educate my patients about their health issues and work in unison to arrive at a remedy that they can adhere to.

About Me

I was born and raised in Ethiopia. My undergraduate education in Zoology was from George Washington University with a minor in French Literature. I then graduated from UC Irvine School of Medicine in 1984 and stayed on to complete my residency training and fellowship. I am board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Gynecology Maternal & Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

My Interest

I have a lifelong dedication to educating medical students, residents, and fellows in Maternal Fetal Medicine. I am an avid photographer, reader and an expert rose grower. I am fluent in English, French, Amharic and conversational Spanish.
