Welcome to My Home Page!

Why I Practice at Kaiser Permanente?

After my residency training, I joined a private practice in New Jersey. I observed that practicing medicine needs some business acumen. I know that I don't have any of that. Secondly, my family is in the San Francisco Bay Area. When I decided to move back to California, I knew I was going to join Kaiser Permanente. Through the years, I realize that my initial reasons for joining Kaiser Permanente are totally different form the reasons why I choose to continue and practice here.

Kaiser Permanente has differentiated itself from most medical groups with its successful integrated health care delivery system. As such, it has been able to give excellent care to its members. I can't be more proud of being a member of this group ! Early on, I realized that there are opportunities for doctors to expand their interests in their specialties. Educational opportunities abound. There are a lot of personal enrichment programs for everyone. There is also a very collegial relationship among the providers. All of these are there for anyone to take advantage of.

On the whole, I can say that I am very satisfied with my practice. At this point, I am enjoying what I do and I am doing what I truly enjoy. Life is good!

About Me

I was born, raised and educated in the Philippines. I have two teenagers, a girl and a boy. They are the most wonderful and challenging people in my life. They know it, relish it and live up to it. We have fun! I also have a very large extended family. Lastly, we have a dog, Lucky.

Outside of medicine, I spend time with my large family. I also love indoor tropical plants, orchids and bonzai in particular. I have been great at keeping them alive for a short time. I enjoy water sports, especially wind surfing and sail boarding, but I find the waters here rather chilly. That has to wait until I go back to the old country.

Thank you very much for your time to read about me. I hope I can offer you the best service that you deserve from Kaiser Permanente of Northern California.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
