My Biography

I joined Kaiser Permanente because I wanted to care for patients without spending a large part of my time managing the business aspects of a medical practice. With Kaiser’s integrated health care model, I have the freedom to make decisions about treatment without worrying about insurance matters. Our patients experience a minimum of hassles due to our multidisciplinary approach, and also due to the fact that all of a patient’s medical information is via the Health Connect computer charting system.

In our Pain Center, I enjoy working in a team environment, with colleagues who are incredibly well-trained. We are dedicated to the idea that patients come first, and we share a commitment to excellence that guides the way we deliver care.

In addition to my clinic work in the Pain Center, I take care of patients in the OR, and I also work with wonderful colleagues in the Anesthesiology department. As an anesthesiologist, I have a special interest in pain medicine, specifically in the areas of cancer pain and spinal pain management.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and relaxing with a good book in hand. I THRIVE by eating well and avoiding transfats in my diet!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
