About Me

I always knew I wanted to be a doctor because I enjoy working with people and helping them feel better. I love the excitement of working in the Emergency Department because I get to see a variety of patients and I have the opportunity to use my problem solving skills. There is instant gratification in knowing that I have the ability to heal a patient or relieve his/her pain during our encounter. It’s very important to me to have my patients feel like they are my priority.

I rotated through Kaiser Permanente hospitals during residency and became very attracted to this system. Kaiser Permanente patients have easy access to their physicians; there’s good follow-up, and the medical system is very organized.

In addition to my medical degree I also have a master’s degree in public health. Clinically, I have a particular interest in infectious diseases and epidemiology.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy things like hiking, cooking, shopping, eating (especially gourmet cuisine), and spending time with my family and my dog, Charlie.

I speak Mandarin fluently.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
