My Philosophy of Care:

Hospital medicine is a challenging and rapidly growing medical field. I believe in patient-centered approach with the goal of treating and understanding each patient as a unique human being. I encourage my patients to be involved in medical decision-making. Providing compassionate and comprehensive healthcare is critical during hospitalization and I believe we can achieve our goals by multidisciplinary team approach with collaborative efforts from patients, specialists and supporting staff.

About Me:

I was born and raised in Myanmar (Burma). I completed my medical education from the Institute of Medicine in Rangoon, Burma in 2002. I attended St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco for my residency training from June 2005 to June 2008.

My professional interests include medical education and being a medical volunteer. On a personal note, I enjoy cooking authentic cuisines and spending time with my husband. In addition to English, I am fluent in Burmese.

My Credentials

Medical school Institute of Medicine I, Rangoon, Burma
Residency St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center, San Francisco, CA

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
