Welcome to My Home Page!

I have been practicing in the field of clinical social work since 1977. My practice has been with both children and adolescents primarily, with a specific interest in the Autism Spectrum Disorders. My specialty areas are in the treatment of chronic social-emotional disorders with an interest in parent education and training to navigate the development of children across home-school-community.

My interest in social-emotional disorders in adolescents began at Stanford University while working as a university case manager in student affairs. Currently, I work in the Walnut Creek, Child & Adolescent Services Outpatient Program, which compliments with my belief in the need to build the natural supports necessary for families to parent a child with special needs, while promoting the wellbeing of siblings and parents as caregivers.

My Education and Credentials

Undergraduate Education BA, Social Psychology (Honors), University of California, Santa Barbara
Graduate Education MSW, Community Mental Health – Maternal & Child Health, University of California, Berkeley
Post Graduate Fellowship University of Southern California - School of Social Work, Prevention Models in Child Abuse & Neglect
Licensure Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California (LCS18950)

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
