Welcome to my home page!

Hello and thank you for visiting Kaiser Permanente. It is my pleasure to be part of an excellent group of providers dedicated to serving your mental health needs.

The Psychiatry Department has a diverse staff of mental health professionals, namely, Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists. As for myself, I am a Clinical Psychologist. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and I am licensed by the California Board of Psychology (Lic. PSY15681). I am a member of the American Psychological Association and the California Psychological Association. My clinical interests include evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders. In my free time, I enjoy exercise, travel, and meals with friends.

Sometimes people find what they are thinking or doing, or how they are reacting, keeps them from feeling satisfied with certain aspects of their lives. Yet they don't usually think of a mental health clinic as a place that is right for them. In the Psychiatry Department, we provide a wide range of services designed to help you improve the quality of your life and achieve greater life satisfaction. Our services include behavioral health education classes, psychotherapy (individual and group), medication management, crisis intervention, and chemical dependency treatment. My fellow providers and I use a multidisciplinary team approach, so a full scope of mental health expertise is always available if you need it. From my perspective, the purpose of the Psychiatry Department is to assess your unique needs, offer guidance about treatment options and resources most likely to benefit you, and then facilitate and support you in optimizing your emotional health, coping skills, and interpersonal relationships at home or work.

If you have any questions or would like to speak with someone about our services, you are welcome to contact the Psychiatry Department at the phone number listed above.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
