Hi and thanks for visiting my webpage!

I grew up around Kaiser Permanente and have been a Kaiser Permanente member for most of my life. Thanks to the volunteer department, I had my first experiences with being involved in the hospital. I started off as a candy striper in high school and through the years had great experiences with volunteer transport, health education, and the emergency department. Along the way, I was influenced by many wonderful volunteers and hospital staff (many of whom are still with Kaiser Permanente).

As I continued my professional training, I became involved with emergency medicine further by working for Santa Clara County EMS. This experience made me gravitate towards the practice of emergency medicine. My interest continued to grow and I even had the opportunity to rotate as a medical student through Kaiser Permanente.

I particularly enjoy the practice of emergency medicine because of the variety of “hats” that you can wear. It is truly a dynamic and exciting specialty. What I also greatly value are the people I work with. In the emergency room, I don’t believe in a hierarchy. The team works together to achieve the most important thing: taking the best care of the patient.

In my free time, I enjoy going for long runs in the switchbacks, snowboarding or playing tennis. I am a die hard SF Giants and Golden State Warriors fan and I enjoy going to games as often as possible. Thanks for visiting!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
