Thank you for taking a look at my web page.
I have been a full-time member of the emergency department staff for over five years, and I have been Assistant Chief for more than two years. As such, I strive to provide the quality care and consideration that our members deserve. Being a member of the Kaiser Permanente organization allows me the unique opportunity to provide our members with the full benefit of integrated care among all disciplines. This situation makes my job easier and allows our members an enhanced ease of access. Our staff at Redwood City, from the environmental engineers, lab technicians, radiology technicians, receptionists, medical assistants, nurses to the doctors is among the very best in Northern California. I am honored to be a member of this group.
Starting with digital films and electronic prescriptions at Kaiser Redwood City, we soon will have an almost entirely paperless information system. This will allow me to provide the best care you need in (hopefully rare) emergencies. What this means to you is that you will have added conveniences as well as cutting edge technology and information systems that will optimize efficiency and help eliminate redundancy and errors.
When I see each patient in the department, I strive to make sure that his or her concerns are addressed. This means that other people might end up waiting longer than they like, but that way each patient can be assured that when it is his or her turn, s/he will receive the same personalized care and attention.
I have been in California almost my entire life, and I received all my education in the University of California system. Thus I feel indebted and proud to serve you here in this great state. Because I had an interest in so many fields when I was in medical school, especially critical patients, I chose a career in emergency medicine. I have fellowship training in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and am actively involved in helping shape EMS policy here in San Mateo County. I have been involved in paramedic education and training as well. As a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians, I hope to spread the awareness of EMS in my organization as well as abroad. I am also a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine in India.
I went to high school in San Jose, college at UC San Diego, medical school at UC Davis, and residency in Los Angeles. Having just got married, I am spending as much time as possible with my new wife and settling in a home here in the Bay Area. I enjoy music, traveling, literature among other things.
Feel free to check out the links to the left and bottom. They contain important resources that can assist you before and after your visit, either to the clinics or the emergency department.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
