Welcome to my home page.

My name is Sung Park. I was born and graduated medical school in South Korea. I came to America in 1986 to fulfill my dream of being a world leading research scientists in the field of Neuroscience. I got my Ph.D in Neuro-Endocrinogy in the University of Maryland School of medicine.

I came back to the clinical area to apply my in-depth knowledge to real patient care.

I have been in anesthesia practice since 1997. I enjoy an interactive working environment with patients, nurses, colleague and doctors. My main goal in patient care is safety, I like to provide my patients a smooth and comfortable journey with anesthesia during their hospital stay.

I was in a group practice setting for last ten years. I recently joined Kaiser Permanente Hayward/Fremont where excellent anesthesiologists are providing top notch medical care.

I am married and have two kids, Julie and Albert. When I have spare time, I enjoy gardening, hiking, traveling and learning different culture and history.

My Credentials

Medical school Chonbuk National University School of Medicine, Chonju, Rep. Of Korea
Internship Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Baltimore, MD
Residency Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN
Board certification Anesthesiology, American Board of Anesthesiology

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
