Practice Philosophy
My Practice Philosophy as a Palliative care physician is to identify individual patient's goals and wishes in the setting of their illness, and help them develop a treatment plan that best meets their wishes and focuses on improving their quality of life. My objective is, to do everything I can, to provide the best quality of care for each and every patient, that I would want for my own family.
About Me
I started my career at Kaiser Santa Clara as a Medical Resident in 1990. After graduation, I practiced in the general medicine clinics and cared for patients in the Skilled Nursing Facility. In 1997, I joined the Hospital Medicine Group because of my interest in taking care of hospitalized patients. I also pursued my interest in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and obtained Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine in 2006 and 2008.
I am currently a hospital based specialist, Hospice Medical Director and Physician Lead for Santa Clara Inpatient Palliative Care Program. I am also a member of the California Medical Association.
My Interests
I speak Hindi and Telugu. When not working, I enjoy cooking and traveling.
