I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself and to provide you with high quality health information.

I was born in an Army hospital and I grew up in Sacramento. In fact, I went to the same elementary school that my father went to in Sacramento, Lincoln Elementary School. I've gone to Sacramento public schools, Sacramento City College and UC Davis. I returned to my hometown in the hope of using my personal and professional experiences in helping those in my community.

I am thankful to those who have sacrificed and shared a part of themselves to give me a better understanding of the world. In return, it is so important to give back to the community:

  • I have been a preceptor for the Family Practice Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program.

  • I have volunteered doing physicals for the Elk Grove High School and J.F. Kennedy sports programs.

  • I have been an assistant coach for the J.F. Kennedy JV and Varsity, the Sacramento Warlords and Sacramento AAU basketball programs.

  • I am on the Board of Directors for the not-for-profit Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation.

The importance of your family, your culture/heritage, and your religion are so critical to understand and cherish as an individual and physician. I am thankful of my wife of 30+ years for her loving support and partnership.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
