Welcome to my Home Page. I hope this page and its links prove helpful and informative for you.
By way of introduction, I was born and raised in Southern California. My father was a Kaiser Steel machinist. After graduating with a degree in Biology from Claremont McKenna College, I trained to be a Medical Technologist. This afforded me the opportunity to work in a hospital lab in Phoenix, Arizona. I subsequently married and entered medical school at the University of Arizona, in Tucson. After medical school, I returned to California to do my post-doctoral specialty training at the U.C.Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, followed by subspecialty training at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles. I joined the staff at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in South Sacramento in July 1986, where I am part of the exceptional team providing excellent medical care to our members.
When not working I enjoy spending time with my family, maintaining and landscaping our home. I just joined a middle-aged men's book club. R & R is sought at the Mendocino coast, the ski slopes of the Sierra and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
