Hello and Welcome! I thank you for visiting my home page.

My Credentials

I completed my Bachelor degree at Michigan State University majoring in Psychology. Then I completed my Doctor of Optometry Degree at the Nova Southeastern College of Optometry, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

My Practice Philosophy

I am very happy to meet all of my patients when they come and get their eye examination. I am very proud to be an optometrist for over six years serving patients all over the United States. What is an Optometrist? We are the primary care doctors who people see to have their vision tested and their eyes examined. We test your vision to see if you need glasses and to see if your eyes are healthy. My philosophy is to make sure that you see well. We have the ability through experience and modern technology to evaluate the health of your eyes for certain diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma. The eyes are the only organ where I, an optometrist, can see the warning signs of high blood pressure and diabetes. As an optometrist, I try to spend a lot of time explaining why you need glasses or why you see blur. I make an effort to take the time to educate all my patients about their visual status.

Why I chose Optometry?

When I was a teenager, I came with my grandmother to translate for her during her eye examination. I was impressed by the optometrist she saw. He was so thorough, kind, and informative that I wanted to practice the field of medicine like him.

Why do I Like Practicing Optometry at Kaiser Permanente?

It is so important when you have your eyes checked that the equipment is up to date. We are lucky to have such great equipment at Kaiser Permanente to do an effective eye exam. Besides, the people in Stockton are so kind. I have enjoyed my time here the most because we have a new facility with friendly staff members to work with.

On a personal note

I was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and came to the United States when I was six years old. I have a wonderful wife and an awesome daughter. In my spare time besides playing with my daughter, I enjoy watching baseball games and gardening. I am an avid learner and continue learning daily about optometry and honing my craft to perfection. I look forward to seeing you for an eye exam soon.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
