Welcome to My Home Page!

I want this page to help you become familiar with me and my department, even before we meet. Visit the health encyclopedia to learn more about health problems and how to manage them. You are a key part of our care team, and your efforts can really make a difference. You will also find many useful links on my site including links to the laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology. Feel free to look around, request a prescription refill, or even book a routine appointment.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in the Bay Area. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading and traveling. I currently serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Kaiser Permanente Hayward and Union City. My professional interests include speech and swallowing disorders in cancer and stroke patients. As a co-facilitator of the Kaiser Stroke Education and Support Group, I strongly encourage all stroke patients and their loved ones to visit our monthly meetings. We meet every third Thursday of the month, from 11am to 12noon, in Union City, Building B, second floor, conference rooms 2A and 2B. For more information about the Kaiser Stroke Education and Support Group, please contact the Health Education Department at (510)784-4000.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
